Any individual who expresses an interest in filing a discrimination complaint must be advised of their right to file a complaint, verbally or in writing, with either FNS or the Civil Rights Officer, and of information necessary for investigation. If a county receives a complaint based on alleged discrimination, the complaint must be forwarded to one of the following:

A complaint must be filed within 180 days of the alleged discrimination.
